Information we monitor about visitors to our website
When someone visits our website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard Internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. New Data Protection Laws were instigated on 25 May 2018. To comply Holt Foot Clinic Limited (HFCL) need to make you aware of why and what happens to the information HFCL collects.
Gill Simmons, Practice owner, is the Data Protection Officer for HFCL.
HFCL will be utilising the following articles to be allowed to collect the data.
Article 6, Lawfulness- 6C Legal requirement “Article 6(3) requires that the legal obligation must be laid down by UK or EU law. Recital 41 confirms that this does not have to be an explicit statutory obligation, as long as the application of the law is foreseeable to those individuals subject to it. So it includes clear common law obligations.”
Article 9, Special Category Data- 9H “processing is necessary for the purposes of preventive or occupational medicine, for the assessment of the working capacity of the employee, medical diagnosis, the provision of health or social care or treatment or the management of health or social care systems and services on the basis of Union or Member State law or pursuant to contract with a health professional. “
Please be aware HFCL stores information about you and your treatments. This information is now held on an encrypted secure server with our provider. The information is stored for 7 years after you have ceased treatment, and then deleted, by legal requirement of medical records. If you are a longstanding client, there will be paper notes which are held securely in locked filing cabinets. After 7 years has elapsed after your last treatment the paperwork is incinerated.

Real Time Reception do not have access to the medical part of your records and will not share your personal data.
Please note all calls are recorded and stored for 3 months and then deleted. All stored data is password protected.

All the forms of information held about you is confidential. Information does not travel outside the European Union, but is held in an encrypted server in London. However, if you believe your data has been breached by us you may contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) to complain. If HFCL believe your information has been breached and there is a high risk to freedom, financial loss, reputation damage, confidentiality loss, or significant other economic or social disadvantage, then we will report it to the ICO and yourself within 72 hours.
